The photographer was a young woman who graduated from school in Haarlem (Netherlands) in 1939. Afterwards she spent time in Germany and Austria.

The photographer Hellmut Münzner was a young teacher in Dresden, among other things for sports. He accompanied youth groups / Hitler Youth during stays at Rochsburg in Saxony.

Interesting pictures by a photographer (Collection 200306-Stadler) who lived in Berlin in the Alboinstraße in Schöneberg. Among other things, friends and relatives in uniform can be seen as well as water sports scenes from Berlin (folding boats on the Havel, leisure time by the water).

Post-War Period

1950 US Zone
From the estate of an American who presumably worked in Esslingen near Stuttgart at the IRO (administration of war refugees of the Second World War). Many photos show Esslingen, some Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Heidelberg and Freiburg im Breisgau. The photographer worked as an amateur actor in a theater. Two picture series show bridges that were destroyed in 1945. The dating of the pictures to the year 1950 was determined by year numbers on US car license plates and a poster.
